MiddCOREplus: A deeper engagement

MiddCOREplus Internships

MiddCOREplus is a summer-long program that combines project-based internships with weekly skill-building workshops. Open to Middlebury students who have completed the four-week MiddCORE Immersion program, MiddCOREplus provides an opportunity to apply CORE strengths to a challenge currently faced by a partner business or organization.

The Importance of Mentors

We carefully select internship sponsors for their willingness and ability to work collaboratively with our students. Projects are designed to provide value and meaning to both the partner organization and the student.

The Week

MiddCOREplus students spend 30 hours per week at their respective organizations. They return to campus on Fridays for skill-building workshops designed to build CORE strengths. Friday afternoons often end with activities designed to strengthen the MiddCORE community and cultivate creative brainstorming. Field trips to local and regional hubs of innovation round out the experience.

Student Applications

Internship opportunities for 2013 are now available MCPlusProposals2013. Students interested in applying for a MiddCOREplus internship should review the project descriptions and submit a specific cover letter and resume for each project in a pdf format to middcore@middlebury.edu by Feb 15, 2013.
