Michael Rawding is a member of Spencer Stuart and works in the firm’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practice. Previously, Michael founded Deerhorn, an advisory firm. He also spent more than 16 years with Microsoft in a variety of senior management roles, including several years each as president and CEO of Microsoft Asia, Microsoft Japan and Microsoft Greater China. During his tenure at Microsoft, Michael spearheaded cross-company initiatives in disaster response/humanitarian relief and environmental sustainability. Michael currently serves as chairman of the Washington State China Relations Council, and on the board of governors at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Michael holds bachelor’s degrees in political science and German from Middlebury College.
