As a design research lead at IDEO, James Schonzeit leads the design, planning, and execution of cross-disciplinary research and strategy efforts together with his teams and clients. He is focused on understanding people through immersive, contextual research and translating insights into user-centered experiences, products, and services. Before joining IDEO, James was a design strategist with Fuseproject and a senior design researcher with IA Collaborative. His portfolio of work includes helping to define the future of personal training with Nike and reimagining “last-mile” delivery for FedEx, in addition to collaborations with former clients like Ford, HP, Hyatt, P&G, and Sonos. James holds a BA from Middlebury College and lives in the Bay Area.
