Emily Friedberg,

Director of Design Thinking – US Office of Personnel Management

Emily currently splits her time between building an innovation center within the federal government as the Director of Design Thinking for the Office of Personnel Management and starting her own local food business in Washington DC. Emily began her career in Tanzania with TechnoServe, where she worked to link farmer-based businesses to export markets. Working with Booz Allen Hamilton, she managed  agribusiness and enterprise development programs for USAID in Africa. At IDEO.org, Emily used human-centered design to create a full scale business model serving low income Kenyans with clean water and hygiene and nutrition products.
