Former Secretary of the Interior of Mexico

Alejandro is a Mexican politician who served as the Secretary of the Interior in the cabinet of Felipe Calderón from November 17, 2011 to December 1, 2012. Before his post as the Secretary of the Interior, Alejandro was often regarded as the face and voice of Mexico’s strategy against drug trafficking and organized crime, serving as spokesman of Mexico’s national security. With a Masters and PhD from Harvard University, Alejandro has also been a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and at John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Alejandro has also lectured at more than 20 universities in the United States, Mexico, Latin America and Europe.
