• In 30 words or less tell us what motivates you
• Respond to two of the four questions below, 150 words each
Tell us about a time when you observed leadership you admired. What was it about this leadership style that stood out to you? How did the leadership style affect others?
Using a mason jar, blue ribbon, mud, and one object of your choice, create something that would amaze a 2nd grader. Why would this amaze the 2nd grader?
Tell us about a time in your life when you failed and what you learned from that failure. How have you approached things differently after that failure? How do you think differently about taking risks that may involve failure?
Tell us about an innovative accomplishment that you are most proud of and why it would not have happened without you. What community was impacted by the accomplishment and what did you learn from that experience?

Financial Aid and Scholarships
Financial aid is available for the summer 2018 program according to Middlebury College’s need-based criteria. Non-Middlebury students can apply for scholarship funding by submitting their financial aid award letter from their home institution upon acceptance to the program.
Middlebury students on financial aid will be eligible for financial aid for the summer program as funds permit.
Funding does run out, and so we encourage students who need financial aid to apply as soon as possible. Financial aid information will be included in the student’s admissions decision letter. Students from other institutions are encouraged to inquire about funding opportunities at their home institutions.
For International Students
Non-U.S. citizens must have a valid U.S. visa status that allows full-time study during the dates of the MiddCORE program to be eligible to apply. (Please note: Students cannot participate in our program with a tourist visa status (B-1/B-2) or through the Visa Waiver Program (ESTA) because neither allows for full-time study.)
U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents are eligible to attend.
International students who already have F-1 student status from a U.S. college or university that they attend during the academic year may apply to MiddCORE as long as they will maintain their F-1 status throughout the dates of the MiddCORE summer session.
Middlebury College is currently seeking authorization to issue visa documents to be able to bring international students from outside the U.S. to our MiddCORE’s summer program of 2019. Unfortunately, we are unable to issue visa documents for our Summer 2018 program.
