Miguel is a Spanish Professor at Middlebury in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, holding a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in Hispanic Studies. Miguel’s research focuses on nineteenth-century Argentinian literature and culture. He teaches courses on Latin American literature, nature, and culture. He also teaches Spanish language as well as courses on Hispanic theater, in which he directs plays in Spanish.
Little known fact: As a grad student Miguel fed the stingrays as a volunteer diver at the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
